The fall equinox is coming up on Thursday. That’s considered by many to be the official start of fall, even though meteorological fall began on Sept. 1. Unfortunately, it won’t feel at all like fall on Thursday, at least for much of Alabama.
Wednesday is the last day of summer, and highs are expected to be at peak summer levels. The National Weather Service says mid- to upper 90s will be possible in parts of Alabama on Wednesday.Temperatures across Alabama are expected to really heat up this week, which also coincides with the start of fall.
Rain chances won’t be zero -- so some may get lucky and see some rain -- but the majority of the state will remain dry through the week.
