has revealed that the roof moldings of affected vehicles may detach during operation because of insufficient retention between the roof flange and mounting clips. If the roof molding comes off, it could create a road hazard for other vehicles and increase the risk of a crash.Owners of impacted models may be alerted to the fault if they see that the roof molding has lifted or is misaligned, or they may notice wind noise and other noise from the roof area.

Involved in the recall are a total of 5,576 2022 Tucsons manufactured between February 3, 2021 and September 25, 2021, as well as 2022-2023Hyundai dealerships and owners will be notified of the recall on April 1, 2023. Owners will be directed to bring their vehicle to a Hyundai dealership where the roof moldings will be inspected and secured/replaced if necessary. The fix will be performed free of charge and Hyundai will also reimburse owners who have already paid to have the issue resolved.
