UTSA on track to land program’s best recruiting class as early signing period opens

As the start of the early signing period arrives Wednesday morning, the Roadrunners are projected to land by far the highest-rated class in the program’s history, per 247Sports. UTSA entered Wednesday slotted 55th in the country in the 247Sports composite rankings, besting last year’s record high of 73rd. The Roadrunners are also 61st in the overall rankings, topping last year’s mark of 74th.

The composite score of UTSA’s 2023 class from 247Sports ranks behind only Memphis in the new American Athletic Conference, which the Roadrunners will join in the summer. For the fourth consecutive year, UTSA is expected to welcome a new highest-rated recruit in program history — four-star offensive lineman Daniel Ogundipe from Iowa Central Community College. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound tackle is tied as the No. 6-ranked JUCO player in the country and the second-best at his position, per 247Sports.
