Orange County FC plays San Antonio FC during the second half of a USL Championship soccer match, Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Toyota Field in San Antonio, Texas. A sellout crowd of 8,015 made its way to Toyota Field on Saturday night hoping that San Antonio FC would beat Orange County SC, the last-place team in the Western Conference, to set new league records for wins and points in a season.
Even with the tie, SAFC was still able to celebrate being regular-season champions for the first time in club history. San Antonio’s hopes for a shutout were extinguished in the 25th minute. Orange County’s Brian Iloski took a pass from Kevin Partida and got into a one-on-one with Farr. Iloski lobbed the ball over a sliding Farr and into the net to put the visitors up 1-0.
The tie only lasted about two minutes. Orange County went back in front 2-1 in first-half stoppage time when Michael Orozco headed in a corner kick from Oluwakorede Osundina.
