A recent influx of summer lifeguard applicants is allowing the Richardson Parks and Recreation department to provide a limited opening of the Heights Family Aquatics Center, the city said in anThe water park’s new schedule will be weekends only ― Friday, Saturday and Sunday — from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. through Aug. 14.
The hours will remain in effect as long as staffing levels remain adequate for the center and the city’s four neighborhood pools, the city stated.Season passes purchased for neighborhood pools will be accepted for entrance at the Heights Family Aquatics Center.due to a lifeguard shortage, a problem faced by recreation centers across the nation..
