The Richardson Highway is down to one lane at Bear Creek due to flooding.
The post said that flooding at Bear Creek washed out the bridge, and that department crews were working to repair the bridge.
The department’s Northern Region Spokesperson Danielle Tessen said that the road was reopened at 3:00 p.m. on Monday to a single lane of traffic. “The bridge did not wash out, the road that connects to the bridge washed out,” Tessen said. “Crews were making repairs to the road where it connects to the bridge and were able to open it to a single lane at this time. The abutment material around the bridge also needed new materials brought in as well.”
