By the time the star stepped onto a soundstage for the first time, “I had an Elliot and a Beverly… somewhere in there. [] I couldn’t tell you where. But they were there, and I could access them at will. They were such radically different people. And their relationship to pleasure was so unique. Elliot wants it, even if she gets easily bored. Beverly is scared by it. That helped.”
