Deer Park generated $1.11 million in taxes during October, marking the sixth straight month that city has broken through the $1 million barrier. Among other Harris County cities south of the Houston Ship Channel, South Houston also saw a sizable year-on-year gain in October, when it gained $349,233 in sale tax money, which represented a 13.6 percent rise above the $307,397 that came in during the same month last year.
