His wife, Karen, spotted the bottle around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16, on the beach in North Wildwood, while the couple and their granddaughter, Autumn, were removing trash and other stray items, according to Bolger.“Greetings from Ireland. I have thrown this bottle into the sea for someone to find another day,” read the letter.“Maybe it’s traveled down to Africa or to IcelandI I won’t know if someone found it, but I hope it is found,” the note concludes.
This letter, found inside a bottle on a beach in North Wildwood, may have traveled more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from Ireland.
