According to officials, the suspect, Sean Strout, shot the victim multiple times after being accused of stealing money and sunglasses.
A man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for killing a friend after smoking methamphetamine, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced.Sean Strout, 36, was convicted of murder by a Harris County jury after a four-day trial in the shooting death of 36-year-old Erron Walker on Oct. 14, 2017."He threw away every second chance he was given and ended up stealing from a friend, leading to an argument resulting in that friend's murder.
Walker then accused Strout of stealing his sunglasses and an undisclosed amount of money, and the two began arguing. This caused the third man to leave, officials said. "Every witness, including the defendant, testified about what a caring and loving person the victim was - he would have given the shirt off his back to help a friend," ADA Chadwick Scott, who prosecuted the case, said.
