Reena Rose Sibayan | The Jersey JournalA Jersey City woman whose trip to a Downtown park playground with her daughter in 2018 ended in serious injury will receive more than half-a-million dollars in a settlement with the city.

The 20-page lawsuit said Sanchez went to the Hamilton Park playground with her daughter on June 22, 2018, and fractured her leg and suffered permanent injuries when the seat on one of the swings detached from its chain. The suit also said Sanchez suffered “severe and permanent personal injuries, pain and suffering, loss of wage and/or income, was compelled to expend large sums of money for medical care and attention and will in the future be so compelled.”
