Netflix’s Chronicles of Narnia reboot has an exciting update as Greta Gerwig signs on as the director and writer of two movies, giving the streamer its best chance to beat Disney’s highly lucrative franchise. Based on The Chronicles of Narnia book series by C.S. Lewis, the fantasy story received a big-budget adaptation from Disney with 2005’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie, which went on to gross over $745 million at the box office.
