Deputy Director General of TRT Omer Faruk Tanriverdi captivates audience at Global News Forum as he shares valuable insights on digital success and the future of media
TRT is engaged in “human-centred journalism” with a mission to “create a fairer media where untold and unknown stories are shown to the world,” TRT Deputy Director General, International Broadcasts, Omer Faruk Tanriverdi has said.
Global news executives also shared their perspectives and provided valuable observations regarding the future of artificial intelligence in news organisations. They discussed essential factors for driving change, including the significance of creating engaging content that motivates people to take action.Media professionals from around the world participated in the conclave to discuss some of the most significant issues for newsrooms in 2023.
He stated that it is crucial to keep up with the changing path of the media landscape. “The change should be based on three principles: Digitalisation , efficiency, and cooperation.” In 2023, TRT Africa began to highlight stories of and from the continent to a global audience in four languages: Swahili, English, Hausa, and French. TRT Francais is solely devoted to catering to its French-speaking audience.
These digital channels also reached more than 390 million people on Facebook and had more than 330 million views on YouTube last year.
