Storemski died at 76 last week.Dennis Storemski, one of Houston's top public safety officials for 13 years who led the city through Hurricanes Rita, Ike and Harvey, has died. He was 76.
From 2008 to 2012, Storemski oversaw the production of public safety videos on hurricanes, mass shootings and terrorism attacks, many of which went on to be used across the U.S. and in Australia, Germany and Japan as tools to train the public. He also helped direct the effort to upgrade the radios used by the Houston Police Department to allow them to communicate with other law enforcement agencies in nearby counties.
