County clerks must receive new registrations no later than 11 days before the election, which is 5 p.m. on Oct. 28 this year. Voter registration can also be done in-person at your local county clerk’s office, however, you should contact your local county clerk before doing so.

Secondary forms of ID are documents that would include your name and current residence – like a utility bill, bank statement or vehicle registration. County clerks will begin mailing ballots to active, registered voters on Oct. 18. You can verify your voter registration and information by going to. If a voter needs a replacement ballot or didn’t receive one in the mail, the last day to request a mailed ballot is Nov. 1. Voters do not need to apply for a mail-in ballot, as all active, registered voters will automatically be mailed ballots for elections in which they are registered to vote.
Those casting their mail-in ballots have several options for voting. Voters can return their ballots through the mail, but it must be postmarked prior to election day — again, Nov. 8 this year. Voters can also drop off their ballot at a designated drop box in their county. Those ballots must be dropped off before 8 p.m. on election day.
