When it comes to the responses to mass shootings in Texas, we need to add the following disclaimer: “Warning to our readers: The response by law enforcement to mass shootings may be disturbing.”Re: “For nation, elderly Biden should retire ...” Another View, Friday: I can think of several high-profile elderly politicians that fit those criteria who also should hang up their spurs. My list includes former President Donald Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Sens. Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz, and Gov. Greg Abbott.
A special thank you should be given to Russell Minor, who has taken it upon himself to acknowledge local veterans. As a niece of a veteran who served on the USS Washington in the Pacific, I appreciate what Minor has done.
