In a display of exceptional talent, a 7-year old fan of BruceLee recreates a nunchuck fight scene from his KungFu classic, The Way of the Dragon.

Video of a young Bruce Lee fan recreating one of his iconic nunchuck scenes has resurfaced. Lee passed away prematurely in 1973 at the age of only 32, but he left an indelible mark on pop culture and is widely considered the most influential martial artist of all time. He broke cultural stereotypes and barriers for Asians and Asian Americans, opened American audiences to Hong Kong cinema, and his blend of different martial arts disciplines essentially led to the creation of MMA fighting.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY One young fan of Lee's was so enamored with his martial arts prowess that he dedicated his young life to not just becoming the next Bruce Lee, but to becoming Bruce Lee himself. That young fan's name is Ryusei Imai, who was first brought to public attention in 2015 when ABC News shared a clip of the boy. In the clip, Imai, then only 4-years old, shows off his nascent nunchuck skills in short, edited bursts.

Although a few years old, the video remains an inspiring display of young talent. The video likely led to Imai's appearance on season 2, episode 1 of Little Big Shots Australia in 2018. On the talent showcase, Imai once again stuns with his fight scene recreation from his idol's only directorial effort, The Way of the Dragon.

Nunchucks are some of the most notoriously difficult weapons to master, even for an adult. They take an incredible amount of time and skill to master, and users are often more likely to strike themselves than their attacker until they reach that level of mastery. Whether it was a childhood phase of supreme infatuation with an idol or not, his skills are undeniably formidable.
