Investigators now say that a man broke into his ex's MontcoPa apartment and began firing at her new boyfriend. The new boyfriend managed to return gunfire before dying, police said.

A man shot and killed his ex's new boyfriend after breaking into a bathroom window of the woman's Montgomery County apartment late Monday night, according to investigators. Neighbors said they heard the gunfire coming from inside the Walnut Street home in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, shortly after 11 p.m. Lansdale police arrived to find Philadelphia resident Wesley Wayne Smith dead on the floor of the master bedroom and another 21-year-old man bleeding from several gunshot wounds, according to a joint news release from Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele and Lansdale Township Police Chief Michael Trail.The injured man was medevacked to a Philadelphia hospital and was expected to survive, investigators said. It was unclear if he might face any charges.
