The woman died “despite life-saving measures” by Parks and Wildlife staff, the agency said in a statement. The statement did not include any details about when the accident happened or what occurred; a spokesman for the department did not immediately respond to a request for more information Sunday. On Friday, a woman was reported missing from the shore at 4:37 p.m.; her body was found about 10 minutes later in water about 20 feet deep, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
