UPDATE: Police ID'ed the woman beaten to death in her home yesterday as Sarah Quickel.
A woman was found beaten to death inside her home in Philadelphia's West Mt. Airy neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the Park Lane home, near Blue Bell Park, shortly before 10 a.m. to find Sarah Quickel bloodied and unresponsive on the kitchen floor, police said. Medics pronounced the 31-year-old woman dead a short time later. Investigators said Quickel appeared to have been struck in the head. Police later said they recovered a weapon.
An arrest was made in what police called a domestic assault. They didn't, however, name the suspect Wednesday morning.
