With numerous injuries at receiver -- including first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba needing surgery for a fractured bone in his wrist -- undrafted rookie wide out Jake Bobo is making a big push for a roster spot with the Seahawks.
53-man roster seems to be within his grasp.
"It means a ton," Bobo said. "I’m not sure what I’ve done to kind of garner that kind of support, but it’s much appreciated for sure. It definitely drives me to continue to get better … and make a push to try to make the squad." Bobo spent his first four college seasons at Duke where he was a two-time All-ACC selection. He transferred to UCLA for his final year and had 57 catches for 817 yards and seven TDs.
Special teams is another important factor for Bobo in his quest for a roster spot. He hasn’t played much on special teams since early in his college career, but says that he is "getting the hang of it."
