“I don’t see it as a rallying point for Democrats,” said Rep. Mark Takano , who supports affirmative action and credits it for helping him get into Harvard College. Instead, it’s more fodder for Democrats to rally voters against the conservative court — a point they think could be more effective than spending political capital to combat certain rulings.
