Conservatives who spend an inordinate amount of time on Twitter and Substack are likely well-versed in all of the issues DeSantis broached in his announcement chat with Musk. In fact, DeSantis has surrounded himself with a set of overly educated and very online ideologues. But for average Republican voters, who already skew older than independents and Democrats, it seems unlikely that Disney, ESG, and regulatory debates are high on the priority list.
