The Hill Country feel of North Central San Antonio gives Diane McVey an escape from the city without ever having to leave.

We attended great public schools and were close to Fiesta Texas, Embassy and Northwoods movie theatres, and La Cantera. When we first moved here, there wasn’t much outside of Loop 1604, but now with the growth of San Antonio, it really feels like this area is closer and closer to the middle of the city. San Antonio, and specifically this part of town, has always been home to us.
A family of deer will graze on the grass down below, the squirrels chase each other in the trees, and the hummingbirds often battle over the feeder I put out. Our view is of the tree canopy and the beautiful homes of Hollywood Park up on the bluff in the distance. Recently my husband and I had our baby girl at the North Central Baptist Hospital which is a mile from where we live. There’s a nice medical area here which has always been reassuring.
