announced a new family of smartwatches with the release of the Series 9 at the “Wonderlust” launch event on Tuesday, September 12., starting on September 22 for a retail starting price of $399.
The Apple Watch Series 9 is a more robust smartwatch with a faster S9 SiP chip and enhanced tech options. The watch now has an 18-hour battery life and quicker Siri capabilities. A new double-tap feature can now control the smartwatch’s timers, music and alarms features while a brighter screen offers better readability in sunlight. Apple also incorporated additional health monitoring with the ability to track weight, period, or medications taken.
Users can choose from several new face designs and color options that include starlight, midnight, silver, red, pink, gold, silver and graphite. The watch is available in 41 mm and 45 mm sizes. With the debut of the Apple Watch Series 9, Apple also unveiled the new Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Ultra 2 .
