State Police are asking for more information from people who have had contact with defendant Nathan Peschell on social media.
Pennsylvania State Police have arrested a man for the sexual assault of a child in Perry County, and they are holding the investigation open for additional potential victims.
In a news release issued Friday, state police at Newport said they’ve charged Nathan Joseph Peschell, 40, with 16 counts including rape, indecent assault, corruption of minors and other crimes. Court filings listed an offense date of Feb. 1, 2021, though it was not immediately clear if the charges were based on one or multiple incidents.
Peschell was arraigned Thursday and committed to Perry County Prison, with a preliminary hearing tentatively scheduled for July 22. State police also said Friday that because of the nature of the crimes, Peschell may have had other victims. They asked any person who had contact with Peschell on social media to contact Trooper Jason Kaczor at 717-334-8111.
