The Addams Family pet known as Thing scares and delights New Yorkers in a hilarious new Netflix video celebrating hit series Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega.
Thing from Wednesday takes on New York City in a new Netflix video. The family pet 'Thing' has been part of Addams Family lore since Charles Addams' original body of work. In the 1964 Addams Family television series, Thing appeared as a disembodied forearm, with the creature becoming a disembodied hand in the 1991 movie The Addams Family.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In Wednesday, Thing's appearance was updated with the addition of stitches, adding to its macabre look. Played by magician Victor Dorabantu's hand, the expressive appendage was sent by Gomez to watch over Wednesday during her time at school and became her trusted and silent sidekick throughout the show.
Will Thing Return In Wednesday Season 2? Wednesday's five-fingered friend was put in harm's way when it was stabbed at Nevermore and left pinned to the wall of her dorm room. Luckily, it wasn't included among the deaths in the climactic season finale since Uncle Fester was able to save Thing's 'life' and Wednesday added another stitch to the pet by sewing it up.
While Wednesday has not yet been renewed for season 2, the series seems a likely candidate for renewal based on its popularity since being released last week, even beating Stranger Things' record with global viewing hours during its opening week.
