Wildcat Hall of Famer Lindsey Anderson is returning to her alma mater WeberStateTrack as an assistant coach.

After a year coaching at the University of Missouri, Olympian Lindsey Anderson is returning to her alma mater as an assistant coach for the Wildcats track and cross country programs.

Anderson became the first Weber State student-athlete to ever qualify for the Summer Olympics when she finished second in steeplechase at the 2008 U.S. Olympic trials. She competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Beijing games. “We are thrilled to have Lindsey returning home to coach at Weber State,” Weber women’s track and field and cross country head coach Paul Pilkington said in a statement. “She was a phenomenal athlete and has also proven herself as one of the best young distance coaches in the country. To leave a Power 5 program to return to Weber State is fantastic for us and we are really excited to have her back.
