A 23-year-old Waukegan man was fatally shot while riding in a car on West Washington Street.
Police said Monday that they are continuing to investigate a fatal weekend roadway shooting in Grayslake.
A 23-year-old Waukegan man was fatally shot Saturday while riding in a car on West Washington Street near Lancer Lane, which is north of the College of Lake County campus, and about a half-mile west of the Washington Street-U. S. Route 45 intersection.Authorities identified the victim as Isidro Juarez. The Lake County coroner’s office said he died from a single gunshot wound.Advertisement
According to the Lake County Major Crime Task Force, an occupant of a vehicle traveling on Washington started firing a gun at a vehicle in which Juarez was a passenger. The driver of the other vehicle immediately drove the wounded passenger to the Northwestern Medicine Center in Grayslake, where Juarez died.
