Cardi B has been making the fall 2023 couture shows in Paris her fashion playground this week. The rapper has been hitting up all the presentations—including Jean Paul Gaultier, Thom Browne, and Balenciaga—in epic style. One of her best was at the Schiaparelli show on Monday. The star even allowedGiven it was Cardi’s first time attending couture week, the rapper says she was excited to attend and see all of the clothes.
Once glammed, the rapper then got into her striking ensemble for the show: a black Schiaparelli column gown punctuated with gold trim, and a gold statement ear-shaped earring . “Schiaparelli is a great balance of doing too much—but not looking pathetic,” says Cardi. “I feel beautiful. I love the whole look.” While she was clearly show-ready, the star joked that the couture was not her main reason for being in the City of Light. “I really came here to buy a Birkin bag,” she says.
