WILLIAMSPORT – A federal judge has found that the former director of Penn State’s pesticide safety education program was fired for violating policies.
Kerry Richards was not a victim of age discrimination, U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann ruled Tuesday in granting the university’s motion for summary judgment.Richards, who had been employed by Penn State since 1989, was 55 when terminated July 29, 2016, after being placed on unpaid administrative leave five months earlier.
