Venture Capital Investors Bid $3B For Suns, Mercury - RealGM Wiretap
Two venture capital investors made a $3 billion bid to buy the Phoenix Suns and Mercury, reported Marc Vartabedian of The Wall Street Journal.
The bid was submitted by Jack Selby, managing director of Peter Thiel’s Thiel Capital, and Jason Pressman, managing director of Shasta Ventures. The $3 billion bid could also include financing from Thiel, as well as other private equity and sovereign wealth funds.Several members associated with the bid met with Suns management on Wednesday, according to reports.
