Here are five things to watch as the Roadrunners look to bounce back from a season-opening loss with a matchup against the Black Knights’ unorthodox triple-option offense.

UTSA also is looking to rebound after a 37-35 loss to Houston in triple overtime, a result Traylor said stuck with him about 72 hours longer than the typical 24-hour rule to shift from one matchup to the next. Traylor said the Roadrunners have worked since the spring to simulate the look for their defense, with safety Ryan Shockency in the role of option quarterback.
This time around, UTSA seems more open to countering an unorthodox offense with something outside the typical defensive plan . Behind the potent starting group of Brandon Matterson, Brandon Brown and Asyrus Simon, UTSA leaned on a second unit of Joe Evans, Lamonte McDougle and Christian Clayton last week, with more options waiting in reserve.
