state health dataAll of Utah is showing “low” community COVID-19 transmission levels, based on a current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis of positive case counts.

Current sewage data shows elevated amounts of coronavirus in two of the 34 sites across the state as of April 27, according to theOut of the state’s 34 sites, five reported enough of the virus that they are on “watch” status, meaning there’s a possibility that those sites could see elevated levels soon. The remaining sites reported low levels.

A Davis County man age 85 or older and an Iron County woman age 85 and older were also reported to have died.As of Thursday, 53 Utahns were hospitalized with COVID-19 — five fewer than the previous week. There were 11 patients in intensive care Thursday, three more than reported last Thursday.
