Renovations begin to upgrade McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch
The facility will be closed during the multi-year $25 million construction project, which will create a signature complex that will attract sports tourism to the community.
Denise Lessard, communications and media manager, said while renovations are underway the complex will be closed for about two years. “This renovation will deliver to our community a fresh, modern experience on par with any public sports facility in the country,” Michael Kowski, Parks and Recreation director, said in a news release. “While the focus will be on serving our home-grown teams and bringing more sports tourism to McKinney, we are also aiming to add new passive and active recreation features that will be accessible to the whole community all year long.
