Mandatory evacuations were lifted in the Armsby Fire on Friday evening, hours after the vegetation fire broke out in an unincorporated area west of Morgan Hill.

6:48 PMCal Fire announced Friday evening that evacuation orders have been lifted as firefighters have gained control. As of about 6:40 p.m., the fire was being held to five acres and containment has reached 30%.
