The University of Michigan announced that it's reached a $490 million settlement in connection with allegations against the late Dr. Robert Anderson, who served as the school's sports team physician from 1966 to 2003.
Some of Anderson's victims filed lawsuits two years ago. The settlement is pending approvals by the university's board of agents, 98% of the claimants and the court, according to the University of Michigan, which said $460 million will be made available to the 1,050 claimants and $30 million will be set aside for future claimants who choose to participate in the settlement before July 31, 2023.This undated file photo provided by the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan shows Dr. Robert E.
