“The war has stalled Ukrainian exports. Due to the blockade of Ukrainian seaports, more than 20 million tonnes of grain are not on the world market,” Solskyi said. “The blockade of Ukrainian exports has already led to record price increase on the world market and we will certainly provoke a global food crisis.”
By October Ukraine will have a shortage of storage capacity amounting to 10 to 15 million tonnes. “That’s why we have an urgent need to set up temporary grain storages,” he said.
