UCLA completes weekend sweep in matchup of West Coast’s top teams.
LOS ANGELES — No. 3 UCLA softball beat No. 6 Stanford, 3-0, for its 13th shutout win of the season on Sunday afternoon at Easton Stadium. With the win, the Bruins move to the top of the Pac-12 standings.
UCLA completed a series sweep of Stanford with the win after previously beating the Cardinal 4-0 on Friday, then 2-1 on Saturday to clinch the series. Leadoff hitter Megan Grant got the Bruins’ hitting going in the first inning with a home run over the right field wall, marking the freshman’s seventh homer of the season.
