Tyleik Williams recovered a fumble for a touchdown against Western Kentucky, recording Ohio State's first defensive touchdown of the season.
After a 35-point second quarter and 42-point first half from the Buckeye offense, the defense scored a touchdown of its own on a fumble recovery in Western Kentucky's end zone.
Davion Ervin-Poindexter took a handoff from his own 5-yard line and ran right, at first evading a tackle from Tommy Eichenberg before Denzel Burke levied a hit, contacting the football with his helmet and forcing it loose. Steele Chambers had the the first shot at a recovery but couldn't come up with the ball and a scrum ensued. After some jostling, Tyleik Williams scooped up the still-unsecured football for six points.
