Two people were stabbed — one fatally — and a third individual was assaulted in Southeast Denver early Wednesday.
Police responded about 8 a.m. to the 10100 block of East Harvard Avenue, where they found two women had been stabbed, Denver police said on Twitter. One of the women died at the scene, police said, while the second woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police also responded to an assault a few blocks away at 2500 South Dayton Way. Authorities have detained an adult man and are “working to determine a possible connection between the detained male and the homicide/stabbing,” police said in a tweet.
