Southeast Houston was hit by a tornado on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, leaving behind torn down power lines and large amounts of debris on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 in Houston.Two more emergency shelters have been opened in Pasadena for people displaced or needing shelter after Tuesday's tornado.
tweeted that Red Cross shelters had been opened at Revive Church, 1062 Fairmont Parkway, and at Memorial Baptist Church, 6901 Fairmont Parkway.The shelters are the second and third opened in the city. On Tuesday, the Red Cross opened a shelter at BakerRipley's Pasadena office, at 720 Fairmont Parkway. That shelter was at capacity on Wednesday, prompting the opening of the new shelters.
