Türkiye is closely monitoring discussions regarding the Lachin road in the southern Caucasus, and expects Armenia to 'recognise Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty,' says Turkish foreign ministry
Ankara stands with Azerbaijan and understands Baku's legitimate concerns, as the country "took measures it deems appropriate within framework of its sovereign rights," says Turkish foreign ministry.Türkiye believes that to ensure peace and stability in the region, the territorial integrity, sovereignty and humanitarian efforts of Azerbaijan should be supported.
"Türkiye has been following the longstanding debates on the Lachin road closely and understands Azerbaijan's legitimate concerns on the issue," the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
