He would date someone like Greene, to be sure—but would he bring her home to meet his mother?to inherit the family silver? Whoever he selects as his running mate would, to some extent, inherit his mantle. This is true because of Trump’s age and because, even if he wins, he could only serve one term. He doesn’t want a successor.
Trump can’t trust moderate normies to enact his evil agenda—but he also can’t trust charismatic extremists capable of stealing his spotlight. What’s a thin-skinned, narcissistic candidate to do?
