Tron: Ares, the upcoming sequel to Tron: Legacy, casts a Dahmer and American Horror Story alum in an unknown role opposite star Jared Leto.
Tron: Ares has added a Dahmer and American Horror Story star to its growing cast. The movie, which is currently slated to begin production this August, will be directed by Maleficent: Mistress of Evil's Joachim Rønning from a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow. Oscar-winner Jared Leto will star in the project, which is the first feature in the franchise since 2010's Tron: Legacy.
Per Variety, Evan Peters has been cast in the upcoming Tron sequel in a currently unspecified role. In addition to his lead role in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and frequent appearances in American Horror Story, Peters plays Peter Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, in the X-Men franchise. Recently, he also held a major role in Mare of Easttown, which earned him an Emmy award in 2021.

It seems that he has found this opportunity with Tron: Ares.
Tron: Ares will also give Peters a new movie franchise after years of largely finding success on television. While he could potentially reprise the role of Quicksilver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe , it is not currently known exactly how Disney plans to incorporate those characters into their established franchise. Tron will allow Peters to spread his wings once more, both tonally and in terms of the scale of the project itself.
