The Naperville Police Department used this electronic sign in 2020 to remind residents to lock their vehicles so burglars don't steal their possessions.
Three people observed by a resident looking into car windows in an area near Ogden Avenue and Rickert Lane in Naperville were arrested on burglary charges, the police said. Officers arrived just as the trio was leaving the area and were able to pull them over on a traffic stop, a post on the Naperville Police Department’s Facebook page said. An investigation linked them to two overnight vehicle burglaries, the post said.
Saul Pitones, 20, of the 700 block of Swift Road, Addison; Jaymeson Robert Pogreba, 21, of the 4800 block of North Knoxville Avenue, Peoria; and Jillian Mariah Payne, 22, of the 5500 block of North Fairmond Drive, Peoria, were arrested on felony burglary charges about 6:20 a.m. Aug. 11 in the 1500 block of Watkins Lane.
