• The deaths included six residents of Anchorage, three people from Fairbanks, two from Soldotna, two from Seward, two each from smaller communities in the Bethel Census Area and the Northwest Arctic Borough, and one each from Juneau, Kenai, Wasilla and smaller communities in the Aleutians East, Denali, northern Kenai Peninsula, Matanuska-Susitna and the North Slope boroughs.
• In Alaska, 1,494 new cases were reported over a seven-day period, an increase from 1,391 cases reported last week. That data doesn’t include at-home tests, which don’t get reported.a CDC tracker• Statewide, 68.1% of Alaskans six months and older had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 28.3% had received at least one booster shot.
