The shooting happened on Lake Street just west of Cicero Avenue at 4:15 p.m., police said. The three victims were walking down the street when a car followed them, and two attackers exited the car and shot them all. A 42-year-old man was shot in the back, leg, and abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County in critical condition. A 48-year-old woman was shot in the upper left thigh and was taken to the same hospital in critical condition. A 43-year-old man was shot in an unknown part of the body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in an unknown condition.
Crime scene tape was set up across Lake Street beneath the Chicago Transit Authority Green Line tracks.Chicago Police have secured the scene where three people were shot & seriously wounded on Lake Street west of Cicero Avenue in Austin.
