People in several states will be able to catch a glimpse of the rocket as it blasts off into the atmosphere, NASA says. A livestream video will also be available.

The Terrier-Improved Orion sounding rocket is scheduled to lift off between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, NASA said.

Unlike many of the recent rocket launches at Wallops, this one will not be visible across as wide of a region of the eastern United States. NASA says the best viewing opportunities for Thursday’s launch will be in the Delmarva Peninsula region. So, if you are vacationing down in eastern Virginia, eastern Maryland or southern Delaware, or live in those areas, you have a shot at catching a glimpse of the rocket as it blasts off into the atmosphere.site, so viewers anywhere can see it. The live coverage is expected to begin 20 minutes before the launch.

NASA is scheduled to launch a sounding rocket on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from the Wallops Flight Facility in eastern Virginia. These are the best viewing locations for this launch, according to the space agency.
