Jason E. Foy has become the first Black president of the Bergen County Bar Association.

He’s not only the first Black person to be installed as president of the Bergen County Bar Association. He’s the first person of color to lead the high-powered lawyers’ guild that was founded in 1898.
The next day, the U.S. Senate confirmed Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first Black woman to the U.S. Supreme Court. Foy didn’t name the senators who stood in the way, but “I will try to talk to these senators so they can overcome their differences,” he said. Jason E. Foy grew up in Englewood, where he attended Dwight Morrow High School. He graduated from Syracuse University and received his law degree from the University of Maryland.
